Eric Mastel, Vice President/Marketing Manager, Cumulus Media-Savannah, said: “We are all very excited to debut Savannah's newest radio station, 102.1 The Sound. After extensive market research, it was overwhelmingly evident that Savannah was asking for a radio station they could call their own. 102.1 The Sound is not only named for the music, but also for the beauty of our home and the water that surrounds us. With artists like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, The Weekend and Lorde, and featuring The Bert Show in the morning, we have given Savannah exactly what they asked for-- 102.1 The Sound! The initial response has been amazing and we are grateful for all the positive comments that new fans of 102.1 The Sound have given us. "

Operations Manager Gerald McCracken added: “I’d like to thank Cumulus for the support to make this change and want to thank Mike McVay, Greg Frey, Rob Roberts and especially Eric Mastel. His leadership through this process has been most helpful.”
